Freelance trumpeter Eric Sperry has been a part of the Milwaukee music scene for over 20 years. A versatile sideman, soloist, and leader, Eric has been fortunate to perform with Sheila E, Chris Vadala, Tony Vega, Jose “Papo” Rivera, Manny Manuel, Jota Ruiz, Jeff Morales, Sonora Santanera La Nueva Sangre, The Fireside Theatre, Orquesta MAS – Madison All Stars, Stephen Cooper and the Nobody Famous, NABORI, St. Louis Jesuits, WIFEE and the HUZzBAND, Caché, D’CalleSon, The All-Star SUPERband, Clave Y Afinque, Salsa Power, Kelli and the Soul Mates, Uncle Larry, Voz De Mi Tierra, Concord Chamber Orchestra, Sheboygan Symphony Orchestra, Off The Wall Theatre, Waukesha Choral Union, Milwaukee Choristers, Lakeside Brass Quintet, and many others.
Currently, Eric is band leader for Groove Therapy and a member of Almighty Vinyl, Orquesta Ayala, Orquesta Veneno, Orquesta Unidos En Cristo, and North Point Brass. Eric is the winner of the 2023 WAMI Awards – Trumpet Player of the Year.
